Title: Letter from Carlyle to Murray, 10 Aug 1831

Author(s): Carlyle, Thomas

6 Woburn Buildings, Tavistock Sq.

Wednesday 10th August.
1831
Dear Sir,

I have sent you the Ms.; concerning
which I have, for the present, only to repeat my
urgent request that no time may be lost in deciding
on it. At latest next Wednesday, I shall wait
upon you, to see what farther, or whether anything
farther, is to be done.

In the mean while, it is perhaps unne-cessary
to say that the whole business is strictly confi-dential;
the rather as I mean to publish anonymously

I remain,
Dear Sir,
Your's truly,

Thomas Carlyle

Be so kind as write by the Bearer these two words:
“Ms. received.”
